Developed a dual-platform loyalty app and business dashboard that gamifies shopping with group-based cashback rewards, QR-code payments, and real-time campaigns for 100+ UK retailers. Integrated Stripe for seamless, secure transactions.

Client Goal

Create a social-driven loyalty platform where:

Shoppers earn 100% cashback chances via a "wheel of fortune" when buying from partnered stores.

Users boost winning odds by shopping with friends.

Businesses attract customers via customizable campaigns while managing payments, analytics, and staff roles in one ecosystem.

Our role

Built two mobile apps:

Customer App: Gamified cashback, group challenges, QR payments, and social sharing.

Business App: Role-based access (owners: analytics, Stripe setup; employees: QR code generation).

Develop a web dashboard for businesses to manage store profiles, campaigns, and financials.

Integrate Stripe for PCI-compliant payments, split settlements (store revenue vs. cashback pool), and refunds.

Design real-time multiplayer mechanics for group cashback games.

Provide post-launch support for scaling to 50,000+ users.

Challenges

Real-Time Group Coordination: Syncing 5 users’ purchases across stores to trigger the cashback wheel without latency.

QR Security: Preventing code spoofing while ensuring instant payment processing (<2 sec scan-to-confirm time).

Role-Based Permissions: Restricting employee access to QR tools while giving owners full financial control.

Cashback Fraud Prevention: Detecting fake transactions without slowing legitimate purchases.

UK Compliance: Meeting PSD2 regulations for payment services and GDPR for user data.
